This week, Cipriani South Street played host to one of New York’s most beloved gastronomic traditions: the 38th Annual Chefs’ Tribute to Citymeals on Wheels. Hundreds of guests turned out for the legendary walk-around tasting, joined by some of the most decorated chefs in the country—all in support of a singular mission: nourishing the city’s homebound elderly. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and sponsors, the evening raised an incredible $1 million—enough to fund 100,000 meals for older New Yorkers in need.
For nearly four decades, the Chefs’ Tribute has united the culinary community around Citymeals’ life-sustaining work. This year’s theme, Guilty Pleasures, offered an indulgent wink at comfort food classics—reimagined late-night bites, decadent desserts, and irresistible twists on nostalgic favorites.

The roster of talent was nothing short of remarkable. Guests savored bites from a who’s who of the food world: Daniel Boulud and Romain Paumier (Café Boulud), Alex Guarnaschelli (Clara and Butter), Andrew Carmellini (Carne Mare), Charlie Palmer & Adam Raskin (Charlie Palmer Steak IV and Akoya), Emma Bengtsson (Aquavit), Marc & Larry Forgione (Forgione), Einat Admony (Balaboosta, Moondog HiFi), and dozens more. From truffle-rich indulgences to street food-style delights, it was a night that celebrated pleasure without apology.
“Every dish served tonight helps deliver not just nourishment, but dignity,” added legendary chef and Board Chair Daniel Boulud. “These meals help older New Yorkers stay in their homes and communities—where they want to be.”

The indulgence extended beyond the tasting tables. In the VIP Lounge, guests were treated to pours from Cipriani’s iconic Bellini Bar, gourmet bites from Sushi Noz, and truffle treasures from Gourmet Attitude. Leigh Lezark brought the energy behind the DJ booth with a signature set, while surprise tasting stations added moments of unexpected delight throughout the night.
The lineup featured a dizzying range of standout names: Rocco DiSpirito, Scott Conant, Antonia Lofaso, Vikas Khanna, Alfred Portale, and Niki Russ-Federman & Josh Russ-Tupper of Russ & Daughters, to name a few. Bar talent from hotspots like Bar Goto, Raines Law Room, and Seaborne kept glasses full with bespoke cocktails.
